Before Foam Experimetnt pic2 by EuTytoAlba Before Foam Experimetnt pic2 by EuTytoAlba
Sooooooo I started my spray-foam injection experiment the day before yesterday. Didn't quite finish so I'll finish it today. I filmed it so hopefully I'll get the video up within a few days. :)

:star: As promised, the templates are all in this folder of my gallery. :star:
But my watchers have seen these all before.

By the way, Master Keeper's chain IS also made of paper. No reason you can't substitute a plastic chain if you decide to build your own. It would make life easier, but I wanted to represent my template. :D ...I took the 3D model from the game (KH: Birth By Sleep) but had to painstakingly, manually edit it so that the chain, rivets, and handguard details weren't just flat squares or flat-sided cubes. SquareEnix must not have liked what I did, because THEN, a few months after I posted my work, they gave Master Keeper a 1080p resolution closeup in the "Kingdom Hearts III" trailer. :stinkeye: ....I always wonder if game developers are aware of papercraft........ Shoot if I know. :shifty:

I m very curious to know what you did and if it worked?
I run which is a mostly monster hunter papercraft site. and like you build alot of very large weapons and armor.

I know you talked about resin which always means fiberglass or epoxy but i have a good alternative to those its simpler cheaper and has no bad smell.
Its waterproof wood glue. you can buy it in gallon form and 5 gallon form, it can be brushed off and cleaner with water till dry. I use newspaper instead of fiberglass matting , Ive got alot of people with great reports after trying this method , the only rule is be sure its the waterproof type or wet sanding and painting will be a bear.

Ive tried a bit expanding foam before only to have it deform or not dry ,, so i wonder how your method was done and if you are happy with the results?

I like the fumes, they kinda smell like bubblegum. Hope I don't turn into some kind of resin fume addict. I'll give Hero Tutorials a look, my skills and tools are subpar honestly.

I see the hand held KH games as separate from the series, even though they are cannon. I have a lot of KH lets play's to watch so I can catch up with the story before KH3. Stupid not-Roxas Keyblade war stuff :I

Oooo don't tempt me. When the first FFversus13 trailer came out I wanted all his weird crystal motor weapons. I think his weapons wont become clear until a very detailed artbook comes out or somebody rips the 3D models from the game.

At the moment I'm resisting the urge to make an Attack on Titan 3D Manoeuvre Gear papercraft.

I love that secret ending...and we're only now just getting KH3. Good luck with the foam injection. Have you tried adding resin to these after the foam?

That's the plan, to apply resin afterward, but I haven't gotten that far yet. Thanks.

I've been following the series since 2002. Just waiting for KH2 felt like an eternity, but now I'm afraid I've mastered indifference, which waiting for FF15 hasn't helped... :shakefist:

Resign is always a pain to do. One time use brushes and lots of resin drips everywhere.

I got into tKH1 afew years after it came out so the wait wasn't so long for me, then it was too much triangle button in KH2.

I think the fact that Nomura told us the name has changed from FFv13 to FF15 means it will be out soon/eventually. Just keep making keyblades till these games come out, by the end you will have all of the keyblades.

I tried resin once last year. The fumes were the worst part, but I can't afford the the fume-less alternative. (The stuff recommended by TheHeroTutorials.)

I kind of view KH1 as standing apart from the rest of the series. For one thing, they had no previous KH to copy from in that one.

Rather than always keyblades, I would love to papercraft Noctis's nameless-engine-sword, but the cannon reference images I can find only show it from strong angles / with severe foreshortening. Gonna keep looking, but even after six years Nomura hasn't given us a whole lot of material.

Seeing this inspires me to make a Ends of the Earth keyblade too. But its so annoying making thin and small fiddly papercraft. But it will be worth it to have keyblade to swing around.

Don't I know it. :XD: The small details of EotE weren't originally part of the model; I had to edit them in myself so it would look like the high-detail model in the pre-rendered secret ending of KH2. My build took 30 hours, but I still agree it was worth it.

Good luck!
