Description

Clockwork SunWell thats ... Lovely

If you've been following and reading the descriptions that go along with my latest gallery additions, consisting of roses and garden stuff, by now you've heard me complaining at least a dozen times about the summer weather we face annually here in Southern Arizona. Well, seeing is believing.......?

This really is my own photo of my own ANALOGUE outdoor thermometer. I don't use a phone app, or check the internet, or watch the news to get my weather reports. For one thing, I know for a fact that the "official" weather readings (the numbers that go on-record for the rest of recorded eternity) for my area are measured 15-ish miles away from where I live, and that really can make a huge difference sometimes. For another, the weather people on the TV sound completely crazy when they can't stop smiling because it's going to be hot and sunny out; something is obviously deeply wrong there once the temperature surpasses 85 and it hasn't rained in a month.... And, finally, because I have seen other peoples' phone apps display "satellite imagery" of clear skies overhead when in fact myself and phone-owner person are under a heavy downpour, and also vice versa when we're under clear skies and their "live" weather map displays storm systems. Is it really too cynical of me to suspect their "imagery" is merely their regular old ramshackle predictions rendered in a computer simulator because graphics are the best gimmick to appear more polished without actually putting in the effort to becoming so? Death Stare

.....Seeing is believing......??
