Nautical Hourglass PREVIEW

Been real depressed lately coz there's absolutely NO WAY I can finish Master Eraqus's keyblade armor in time for the Phoenix Comicon. In fact, at this rate, I'll be lucky to finish ANY of my projects by then.

One project, Towerdweller.com, is going to be my new home base for papercrafts. The new papercrafts I'll be posting there are much more fancy than anything I've posted on DeviantArt----many will have moving parts! And, well, I can't make them all free anymore... This hourglass will be among the first templates for sale just as soon as I finish constructing my website.

I'm still trying to figure out ways to make the glass part actually clear. Shapeways will only 3D print, at best, in a semi-clear material. ...I do have this one idea involving casting resin..

If all goes well and I actually make some money on my papercrafts, I'll be able to experiment with turning some of these models into small 3D prints you can order from Shapeways. It's just that that involves ordering prints myself, ahead of releasing the option to everybody, to make sure it will always print right, not immediately break, and not fuse the moving parts...
