I'm sure my watchers will be glad to hear that I've finally gone back to work on some papercrafts! Specifically, I've vowed not to even open a browser until I finish my enhanced Master Eraqus suit of armor-----only exceptions being to post file art of "Project Folly" or to develop Towerdweller.com, which are higher priorities.

Several people in my family are casual musicians, so I've been experimenting to see if there's enough talent between us all to write and produce some original music for "Project Folly". (It's a steampunk short film I'm making with some friends and family.) I can't play any instruments myself, but I'm fair enough at poetry, so I've been doodling lyrics for the others to put melodies to (which is easy for who I'm working with), whether we'll find someone to sing them in the film or just use an instrumental version. Last night, I came up with some that I really, really like----themed around wax roses as a metaphor for synthetic life like automata----which inspired this image of Pollyanna.

I still haven't decided whether to give the actress a full face mask or ask her to wear very elaborate and expensive metallic makeup (like Steam Powered Giraffe) with purple sclera contact lenses. She has had some stage training, so, like when "The Phantom of the Opera" was adapted to Broadway----they shrunk the Phantom's mask down to half to expose one eye so that the actor could show expressions---I wouldn't want to restrict her too much. Then again, it might be worth the simplified dressing routine to have a full mask... So, I keep drawing Pollyanna with a frozen face in order to see if a single expression could work for the whole movie. Details, details...

I think her body came out weird, but over all I love this pic.
I cry when I work on this character now! (That's supposedly a good sign.)
